Airware Information Technology Group - State of Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals

State of Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals

We were engaged in a joint venture with KPMG Peat Marwick to perform a review of the computer system and computer operations of the Office of Public Health for the State of Louisiana. The review spanned a twelve month period and involved evaluation of both hardware and software applications.

Customized Applications

We understand that the challenges facing today’s financial manager often require customized automated solutions, rather than “off-the-shelf” approaches. Our firm’s approach to automation is focused in this direction. The following are a few examples or where our innovation has resulted in solutions:

French Market Corporation

We were engaged to perform an operational and systems review of the operations of the Market. Our study identified opportunities for improvement facilitated by an automated solution. We coordinated the development of customized software applications for capturing and reporting all financial transactions in the Flea Market section of the French Market.

AIR WARE

A proprietary software application developed by our firm to automate the process of setting reimbursement rates for Home Health Agencies, with on-line updating from generic accounting systems.

AUTOMATED AVIATION MODEL

A customized software application developed by our firm automates the computation of airline rates & charges.

HOUSING PROGRAM INFORMATION DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION

Our firm has selected to participate in the design and implementation of a management information system for the City of New Orleans Division of Housing and Neighborhood Development. The system will provide for automated access to all phases of housing information throughout City government. The housing information database will be linked to a graphic database therefore providing visual and narrative information on all housing stock within targeted areas within New Orleans.

Storm Recovery Systems

Airware, LLC, played a pivotal role in implementing and controlling logistical & economic models during Hurricane Katrina. We worked hand in hand with the Army Corp of Engineers and Phillips and Jordan. We implemented and controlled a ticket tracking system for demolition and Construction debris materials by Truck ID by day. The systems linked tickets to loads hauled by day by type of debris, i.e., white goods, E-Waste, Leaners & Hangars etc. In addition, Airware prepared Hazardous Mitigation Grants for Louis Armstrong Airport and worked with the Project Worksheets established by FEMA. We implemented internal controls and provided compliance support.
